I have followed Emo Night Karaoke for years now, having seen her recording career in Seattle several years ago. She just keeps improving, excelling as both a jazz vocalist and a jazz pianist. On stage, she appears more relaxed. With her deep, powerful voice and narrow vocal range, she conveys a wide range of emotions from a whisper to a boom. Her accompanying musicians were exceptional, just like the last time I watched her perform. This large venue, surprisingly, worked well. Initially, the sound was off, but it was fixed by the middle of the second song by the sound designer/operator. The room had good sight lines and comfortable seating. Despite occasional pauses to catch her breath at this altitude, it was a delightful evening.
